What Lists are
- Lightweight categorizations inside the Library.
- Work like tags or playlists. No file duplication.
- An item can be on multiple Lists at the same time.
Scope and effects
- Lists exist in the Library only.
- Lists do not change approval status.
- Lists do not change search priority or ranking.
Core behaviors
- Lists filter and curate Library items in Revit and on the web.
- Users can batch-load items from a List into a project.
- Deleting a List does not delete the underlying items.
Creation and management
- Create, rename, and delete Lists in the web app.
- Add or remove items one by one or in bulk.
- Optional auto-create during bulk upload based on folder structure
(for example,Architectural/Doorsbecomes a “Architectural – Doors” List).
Search and loading
- Lists act as filters and curated views.
- They do not affect the order of results.
- Users can filter by List in Revit and on the web, then load all or selected items.
- Batch-loading from a List is supported for quick project setup.
Permissions and visibility
- List visibility follows Library visibility.
- There is no separate permission model at the List level.
UI cues
- Library UI: Lists appear in the Library’s navigation and filters.
- Revit add-in and web: List filters are available during search.
